Speedy air links promoted in major ad campaign The speed and convenience of using Air Southwest flights for easy travel to and from the South West will to be promoted in a major new nationwide marketing campaign starting this week.

For the very first time TV viewers in the South West will see messages about the benefits of flying with Air Southwest, as the airline steps-up activity to reflect the growing interest in UK travel.

Air Southwest now serves ten airports from the region with year-round flights and the new marketing campaign centres on the theme that whether customers are flying for business or leisure, and wherever their travels take them, Air Southwest will get them to their destination quicker by air than by the road or rail alternatives.

The TV campaign, titled ‘Because’, features a cross section of the British public representing the reasons why Air Southwest’s route network is important to customers for a mix of both commercial and personal reasons (view online at airsouthwest.com/news)

Promoting the South West to new markets, large scale outdoor adverts and carefully targeted online and press advertising will run across the national route network, with particular emphasis in London to highlight the ease of travel to the South West and specifically the fast journey times offered by the airline.

A new slogan ‘Britain’s Local Airline’ has been created, reflecting Air Southwest’s strong UK route network, couple with its warm, friendly and efficient customer service.

Peter Davies, Managing Director of Air Southwest said: “Our new marketing campaign marks our largest investment to date to promote Air Southwest’s services to and from the South West and follows the successful launch of our new London City service last month.

“In these challenging times the ability for business customers to maximise their working day has become increasingly important whilst leisure travellers are now looking to enjoy more holidays and short breaks closer to home. For both markets, the speed of our air services offers an unbeatable proposition and I’m confident that our new marketing campaign will serve to promote the South West to new markets.

To coincide with the start of the new marketing campaign, Air Southwest’s website, airsouthwest.com has been re-launched with a fresh new look.
