Oman Air announces last minute deals for Salalah Festival

14th August 2009 Print

With the Salalah Tourism Festival drawing to a close on 23rd August, Oman Air has announced some great last-minute deals for travellers who wish to catch this fantastic celebration of the ‘Real Arabia’.

With prices starting at just £504 return, Economy Class and £1,384 return for Business Class, including taxes, the rich culture, ancient history and stunning landscapes of southern Oman make for a truly exciting holiday destination.

Salalah is the principal town of the Governorate of Dhofar, the southern-most province of Oman. It is located between the blue waters of the Arabian Sea and spectacular, precipitous mountains, beyond which lies the vast desert of the fabled Empty Quarter. For much of the year, the area is hot and dry, but July to September sees the arrival of the Khareef, the monsoon season unique to the area, bringing lush greenery, bright flowers, waterfalls and relief from the heat.

Oman Air’s daily, non-stop, direct flights from London Heathrow to Oman’s capital city of Muscat, speedy onward connections and famed hospitality mean that getting to Salalah could not be more straightforward.

Abdullah Zantout, Oman Air’s Country Manager for the UK and Ireland, says:

“We are delighted to be offering these great deals from London to Salalah, giving travellers the opportunity to see Oman’s very own tropical paradise at very competitive prices. As the only airline flying daily non-stop flights from London to Muscat, and with easy connections forward to Salalah, Oman Air offers great value, wonderful hospitality and an enjoyable journey to a very special destination.

“The Salalah Tourism Festival is a wonderful window on the amazing history, culture and traditions of this breathtaking region of Oman, also known as the Land of Frankincense. It runs throughout the Khareef and there is no better time than now to make the most of our last-minute deals and to see Salalah for yourself.”
