New debut homes are in the frame
Redrow is at the forefront of change in the house building industry, and is exhibiting its innovative designs at St David’s Park in Hawarden, Flintshire. The Debut range of first time buyer properties, which went on sale for under £60k at the North West Wales venture, has been a huge success partly thanks to the modern methods of construction implemented by Redrow.
All of the 95 homes on release were sold during the launch weekend and now the first time buyers who snapped one up can look forward to moving into an innovative new home.
The award winning house builder has teamed up with steel giant Corus to deliver innovative steel frames for the building of Debut at St David’s Park, instead of the standard brick and block materials more traditionally used in construction.
The steel frames are being installed and Redrow hopes to have the first customers moved in by mid-September.
Jeff Dickinson, area construction manager of Debut at St David’s Park, says: “So far, the steel frames are in place in two of the ten blocks and we’re making really great progress.
There are a lot of advantages of using steel frames for both the builder and the customer.
“We can build houses more efficiently using lightweight steel frames, plus the frames are durable, environmentally friendly, offer strength and are guaranteed not to warp, crack or shrink – unlike some other building materials.
“The house buyer can benefit from the quality, efficiency and faster deliverability of these Redrow homes. Their design allows them to be installed accurately and to resist rust. The main benefit buyers will receive is the knowledge that they have purchased a home of modern construction with superior quality.”
Debut is Redrow’s answer to the affordability crisis facing first time buyers. Using advanced techniques to reduce build costs, getting a foot on the property ladder is becoming easier.
Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (North West), says: “Debut at St David’s Park has been a resounding success - so much so that we have sold all of the properties at the development. This is a sure sign that Debut properties are a hit with first time buyers who want the best from their homes and with the innovative steel frames bringing a new era in building, it really is a winning combination.”
The Debut development is situated alongside Redrow’s Parc-y-coed development, which is also providing house hunters with traditional four-bedroom family homes. Both schemes form part of the wider St David’s Park mixed-use development which features hundreds of new homes, offices and a four-star hotel.
With the first time buyers catered for at Debut at St David’s Park, all kinds of buyers will find what they’re looking for from the mix of larger properties on offer at Parc-y-Coed. Prices start at £245 000 for a four-bedroom home.
Patsy continues: “The village of Hawarden is in an ideal location for commuting, with links to Chester – less than 10 miles away - Liverpool and Manchester. The M56 is seven miles away, providing easy access to the M6, and the entire motorway network throughout the UK.”
