Spring into action at The Common in Buckley

Spring into action at The Common in Buckley Members of local gymnastics club, the Buckley Boys are enjoying their new gym mats thanks to a generous donation by a local housebuilder. Charles Church have sponsored the Buckley Boys £250 which will go towards purchasing new gym equipment. Buckley Boys Gymnastics Club is located just two minutes away from Charles Church's The Common development in Buckley. Buckley Boys Gymnastics Club is held at the Buckley Sports Centre in Mill Lane and has been established for over 30 years.

The club originally started off as a school gym but now boasts over 40 members varying from juniors to those who perform at international level. Charles Church's sponsorship of £250 will be matched by the Welsh Sports Council in conjunction with Sportsmatch bringing the total sponsorship to an impressive £500. Sportsmatch is the Welsh Assembly Government's business sponsorship incentive scheme for sport in Wales. The scheme matches the sponsorship investment made by businesses for the development of grass-roots sport.

"We were very impressed with the level of gymnastics that the Buckley Boys demonstrated and are extremely pleased that our sponsorship was matched by the Welsh Sports Council to provide essential equipment for the gymnastics club. It is very encouraging to see young people leading an active lifestyle."
