Local school names new Ammanford development

The young pupils from Betws CP School have been encouraged to test their imaginations and creativity by naming prestigious housebuilder Charles Church’s new development in Ammanford.

Tayla Wheeler, aged 11, won the naming competition with her chosen name ‘Pen y Bryn’ which means ‘Head of the Hill’. Tayla won £25 WHSmith vouchers and the school was presented with a £250 cheque by Sales Executive Andrea Gardener.

Katherine Faull, Charles Church Wales Sales Director comments: “This competition has provided a great opportunity for Charles Church to involve the school in a new scheme. It’s also a great way for us to interact with the community in which we are building and allows the children to show off their creativity. We’ve been thoroughly impressed by all the entries.”
