Move out of renting in Wrexham
People paying over £625 per month to rent a two bedroom property could pay less to own their own stylish apartment, thanks to a new initiative introduced by housebuilder Gladedale at its Zest development in Wrexham.Available on selected plots, the Shared Equity Scheme allows buyers to own 100% of the property for just 75% of the price with a 10 year interest free loan from Gladedale. The remaining 25% is then payable in ten years time or when the apartment is sold, whichever comes first.
This could mean a two bedroom, ground floor apartment priced at £147,500 can be bought for just £110,625 so monthly payments would be just under £625* which could cost around the same as the average cost of renting locally. The 75% loan also means there is no requirement for a deposit so buyers can move in as soon as they pick their ideal apartment.
Julie Davies, field sales manager for Gladedale North West, said: "We understand that buying your own home is an important investment for your future so we want to help potential buyers get out of the rental trap. Buying a new brand new two bedroom apartment in Wrexham could cost less money than renting which is a great first step onto the property ladder."
Gladedale North West's Zest development on Watery Road in Wrexham comprises of a stylish mix of 34 one, two and three bedroom apartments laid out across five levels.
