New show homes for Abercynon development

17th September 2007 Print
New show homes will be opening shortly at Maes Y Fynnon, Barratt Homes’ new development in the historic village of Abercynon. When complete, the development will offer a range of three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached and four-bedroom detached houses. The homes are ideal for young professionals, families or retired people wanting to escape from city to village life at an affordable price.

Also, because Abercynon has two railway stations – with access to the Cardiff to Aberdare and Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil lines – residents will be able to commute easily to major locations throughout Wales.

The village, in Rhondda Cynon Taff, holds a special place in musical and industrial history. A young Tom Jones used to entertain locals in the Thorn Hotel and Abercynon was the terminus for the world’s first ever steam railway journey on February 21 1804.

The first properties at the site will be released for sale shortly. To register for advance details log on to Barratthomes.co.uk.
