Celebrity chef cooks up a storm at show home launch One of Wales' top celebrity chefs added flavour to the launch of Redrow's new family friendly show home in Llantwit Fardre. Food writer and TV personality Angela Gray treated homebuyers to a display of culinary creativity during a series of mouth-watering cookery demonstrations as the award-winning housebuilder opened the doors of its vibrant new showcase property at the Glyn Coediog development.

Visitors also enjoyed sampling a range of regional wines from the Llanerch Vineyard, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Julie Ells, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: "As well as tasting the delectable food cooked to perfection by Angela in the show home kitchen, homebuyers were able to take a first look around the rest of the four-bedroom ‘Ouse' home, where our designers have worked their magic to create a bright contemporary interior.

"The show home is now open daily to enable people to picture themselves living in luxury in this fabulous detached family home.

"With a ‘ready-made loft conversion', the ‘Ouse' has a third floor of extra living space. It also boasts a host of other family friendly features, including a utility room off the kitchen, downstairs cloakroom, and an open-plan kitchen / dining room that's the perfect place for families to convene."

Vivid colours and eye-catching patterns have been used to give the show home a feeling of energy - ideal for a young family.

Fuchsia, lime and turquoise have been infused with more serene pale greys and white to create a home that oozes style and fun. The family living area boasts a state-of-the-art plasma television and large sofas, where homebuyers can enjoy views out to the garden through the patio doors.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area has a real feeling of space, with a glass and chrome dining table. In the master bedroom the designers have used lime and soft grey wall-coverings and elegant long curtains with white and glass furniture. The striking use of colour continues into the other three bedrooms, which each have plentiful storage and enough space for double beds.

The development benefits from good local amenities in the neighbouring towns of Pontypridd and Llantrisant, convenient access to the M4 and a regular bus service close by to Pontypridd town centre.

Currently on the menu at Glyn Coediog is a tasty selection of homes, including one-bedroom apartments from £139,995, two-bedroom homes from £145,500, and three-bedroom houses from £189,995 and four-bedroom homes from £259,995.

To see the new show home visit Glyn Coediog daily between 10am and 5.30pm, or log on to Redrow.co.uk/developments/view/59.
