A typical Lambourne house type Brand new homes in Merthyr Tydfil get a new shop window this weekend (5/6 May) with the opening of an ‘all-singing, all-dancing’ marketing suite at Gelli Dawel, off Pantyffyn Road.

The new sales centre will showcase the full range of Redrow homes from first time buyer ‘Debut’ properties to the current selection of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses, plus four-bedroom detached family homes.

As well as the usual floor-plans, images and information, the new marketing suite includes a special feature; an ‘Indulge with Redrow’ area, which allows customers to see and feel everything they could have in their new home, from the fireplace and drawers to cupboards and carpets.

Already popular with a wide mix of buyers, Gelli Dawel looks set to enthral even more would-be home owners with its quality new homes, superior specification and great choice of optional extras.

Among the homes currently available are a selection of homes arranged over three floors – offering spacious and versatile accommodation for all the family.

The three-bedroom Lambourne terrace, for example, features a fabulous master bedroom and en-suite shower room in its converted roof space – the perfect retreat at the top of the house.

The ground floor is largely open plan, with a spacious fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area, with patio doors onto the garden. The second and third bedroom and family bathroom are on the middle floor, and this desirable home is competitively priced from £179,950.

Alternatively house hunters might prefer the three-storey Neale, an imposing four-bedroom townhouse whose accommodation offers lots of possibilities. The ground floor features a living area, fitted kitchen/dining room and a cloakroom/wc. The formal lounge, master bedroom and en-suite are on the first floor, with three further bedrooms and the family bathroom above.

Debby Pavitt, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), says: “This kind of layout is great for families with older children as mum and dad can have their ‘space’ on the middle floor and give over the top floor to their offspring. Alternatively couples without children – or those with grown-up offspring – can use the spare bedrooms as a virtual self-contained area for working from home or pursuing a hobby.”

The Neale is currently priced from £186,950 at Gelli Dawel and, for a limited period only, Redrow is offering to pay stamp duty and provide fitted carpets throughout when customers purchase selected Lambournes and Neales.

Gelli Dawel is also home to Redrow’s innovative Debut product – affordable one and two-bedroom homes firmly targeted at first time buyers. Currently priced from £78,333 to £102,333, purchasers can defer 10% of the initial purchase price for up to 10 years; this interest-free sum can be paid back in monthly instalments, occasional lump sums or in full at any time. There’s also a single monthly service charge that covers gas, electricity and water bills, as well as external maintenance, buildings insurance and window cleaning.

Redrow’s sought-after development enjoys a great location on the edge of Merthyr Tydfil, a town with much to offer. It’s nestled between the rolling Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains, offering both scenic views and opportunities for outdoor pursuits, whilst Cardiff is within easy reach for commuters. The A470 links directly to the M4, and there are regular train services from Merthyr to Cardiff.
