Redrow banishes the selling blues in Merthyr

The latest research by Hometrack has found that the average time to sell a home in Wales has increased from 9.5 weeks in July last year to 13.4 weeks this year, making part-exchange a stress-free option for homebuyers looking to move straight away.
Award-winning housebuilder Redrow is offering part-exchange at its Gelli Dawel development in Merthyr Tydfil, helping those customers who need to sell up before moving in.
Available on selected plots, part exchange sees Redrow buying a customer's existing property (subject to criteria), taking the problem of finding a buyer, or becoming part of a chain, out of their hands and paving the way towards that new home.
Luly Brice, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: "This is the ideal option for people who want to move right away, but are being held back by their current house. We can take care of all that for them, leaving them to concentrate on the fabulous new Redrow home of their choice at Gelli Dawel."
The three-bedroom ‘Malham' and ‘Lambourne' and four-bedroom ‘Neale' homes, all laid out over three floors, will appeal to a wide-range of homebuyers from young professionals and downsizers, to larger families who need some extra space to spread out in.
Luly added: "Three-storey living is proving very popular because of the choice it offers. Many have used the opportunity of extra space to give teenagers and older children their own space and independence, which can be difficult to do in the traditional two-storey home.
"They also have all the other benefits that come with owning a brand new home such as improved energy efficiency, no costly renovations or upkeep and no need to worry about dealing with previous residents' decorating disasters!"
With its master bedroom and en-suite in the cleverly converted roof space and two further bedrooms and a main bathroom on the first floor, the Lambourne offers plenty of living space options. Rooms not needed as bedrooms can double as home office space, a games room or maybe a gym and all this from only £163,995
The Malham features a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room, plus an en-suite to the master bedroom in addition to the main bathroom, all from £169,995. The Neale is available from £172,995.
Gelli Dawel is surrounded by countryside and the scenic Black Mountains, yet still close to the town and within easy reach of Cardiff, with everything close to hand, from high street shops and quaint markets to churches, dentists and doctors. There is a good choice of both Welsh and English speaking schools and a new primary school under construction adjacent to the development.
