Master the art of moving home
For home buyers in Gwent who want to secure their dream home quickly, house builder Redrow is offering their stress-free Mastermove service. It meant one couple from Ebbw Vale found a buyer for their existing property within two days so they could reserve their new home straight away before the property even went on sale. When Gail and Graham Morris discovered their dream home was being built at Redrow’s Cae Ffwrnais venture they knew they had to have it and couldn’t risk losing out by having to wait until they sold their house.
The couple opted to use the Mastermove service, which managed the whole sales process on their behalf. Redrow appointed a local estate agent, arranged a free valuation and monitored the estate agent’s marketing activities. Within two days the Redrow team had found Mr and Mrs Morris two buyers and, most importantly, paid the estate agent’s fees at the end of the process.
Mrs Morgan, 55, said: “One of the buyers was a first-time cash buyer with no chain so we opted for them.
“We chose to use Mastermove so we could reserve our new home straight away. The house is perfect for us and we didn’t want to risk losing it. The whole process was so easy, we didn’t have to worry about anything.”
Cae Ffwrnais will eventually consist of 72 new homes, including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes. The development will feature a selection of homes that are ideal for customers from all walks of life – from first time buyers and young couples, to growing families and empty nesters.
Mr Morris, a stock-controller for a local window firm, and his wife opted for the three-bedroom Hardwick-style house, which has now sold-out at the development.
Cae Ffwrnais is located on Steelworks Road in Ebbw Vale, close to the town centre and all of its amenities, including shops, bars and restaurants. Merthyr Tydfil is just 15 minutes away and Cardiff and Swansea are 30 and 40 miles respectively.
Mum-of-one Mrs Morris said: “I can’t wait to move in now. My hobby is decorating and I love choosing new furniture and colour-schemes for my home. I’ve been told I’ve got good taste!
“I always buy new-build properties because they are just so nice and fresh. Our old house was only 14 years old and we bought that one new as well.”
Debby Pavitt, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “We’re so pleased everything went so smoothly for Mr and Mrs Morris.
“Mastermove is a well-established service we offer to customers to take away some of the stress involved in selling their existing homes and speed up their move to their brand new property.
“Cae Ffwrnais really is a great development and we would encourage anyone to come and see for themselves what is on offer.”
Properties still available at Cae Ffwrnais include a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments and houses and three and four-bedroom properties priced from £103,995 to £186,995.
The detached four-bedroom Neale, the three-bedroom Lambourne and the three-bedroom Malham each offer the very best in three-storey living, giving home buyers the opportunity to make use of the space provided in any way that suits them.
The ground floor of the Neale features a spacious living area to the front of the house and the fitted kitchen/dining area to the rear, with patio doors onto the garden.
A central staircase leads to the first floor, which boasts a roomy lounge to the front, with French doors onto a Juliet balcony, plus the master bedroom, which has an en suite shower room. There are three further bedrooms and the family bathroom on the floor above.
