‘Moor’ for first time buyers in Port Talbot

15th August 2007 Print
More - or perhaps moor - homes choices will be available for young professional singles or couples trying to get onto the property ladder, with the launch of a new Barratt Homes development at Port Talbot. Abbot’s Moor, a new 134-property site in the vibrant town, will be launched next month (September) and include apartments, coachhouses and also Barratt’s unique and chic iPads.

Barratt Homes Sales Director Sandra Dixon said: “Port Talbot is a rapidly expanding area with a very exciting future. It is a great place for first time buyers, young families and investment buyers to purchase now and watch the value of their properties grow,’’ she said.

”This location offers everything - a vibrant town with great leisure facilities, beautiful coast and country and forest parks, easy access to the M4 from Junctions 38 to 41 and direct Inter-City links to Swansea, Cardiff, London and Manchester.’’

Port Talbot is steeped in history, tracing its roots to medieval times. The remains of a 12th century abbey can still be seen in the beautiful grounds of 19th century Margham’s Castle.

The town centre has been substantially modernised in recent years, new roads are currently being built and the promenade and beach front at Sandfields is being totally renovated to include a new entertainment complex.
