Mortgage incentives tempt part exchange buyers at Abbottsmoor

11th December 2008 Print
Abbottsmoor, Barratt's new development in Baglan, Port Talbot, is proving popular with buyers keen to live in a rural location with good local amenities. And part exchange buyers are currently in line to receive up to £1,000 per month towards their mortgage until January 2010.

"Abbottsmoor lies of the edge of the thriving town of Port Talbot, and the local area boasts some of the best countryside in Wales," reports Adrian Bird, Barratt sales director.

"There are forests parks, dramatic waterfalls and meandering rivers and the coast is nearby, so there's something to suit all age groups and tastes."

Current availability at Abbottsmoor includes a selection of family homes. These range from the three-bedroom end terrace Essex, priced from £154,995, to the four-bedroom detached Thornton, with prices starting from £189,995.

"We can offer part exchange for people moving up to a larger home," Adrian continued.

"Under Barratt's part exchange scheme, we will buy your current home - and offer you up to £1,000 a month towards your mortgage - until January 2010.

"You will be able to move quickly without the worry of a chain and you can stay in your old property right up until your new one is ready. There's no hassle, no estate agent fees or last minute haggling over price," he concluded.

Port Talbot is currently undergoing a period of regeneration, which includes the refurbishment of its shopping areas, and commuters are well served by Port Talbot Parkway station and the M4 motorway.

Local attractions include Margam Country Park, Afan Forest Park and the Aberavon Beach resort, a favourite with surfers. Swansea and the Gower Heritage Coast are also within easy reach.
