Twospace gets its chill on

8th November 2006 Print
Two Space Fashions - Boulevard Dress Founded by designers Christine Haynes and Kent Bell, US label Twospace has launched its new fall/winter collection online as well as at a recent fashion show at Loggia in Hollywood during LA's Fashion Week.

"We are both Midwesterners, so we understand the need of warm clothing from October to May. We just want to make it stylish, too," Haynes explains, "Even here in Los Angeles, the weather gets cooler and the fashion palette naturally gets darker. It was time for us to address a cooler climate."

The Twospace fall/winter clothing collection features new dress and top designs in Rayon jersey and stretch cottons, yet maintains the greatest hits of past seasons. The Avalon Dress, in Rayon jersey is reminiscent of Roman draping, all the while maintaining a sexy silhouette and total comfort. The collection also features the Chelsea Dress, which is destined to become a wardrobe staple. Its traditional baby doll shape is given an unexpected twist with pleating, bib neckline, and uptight pinstripes. Both are suitable for a variety of environments. "We want our customers to not only look good, but feel good wearing our clothes in many situations" Haynes explains.

The Twospace collection is a combination of the urban, bold aesthetic of the team's roots, Chicago's art scene, and the ease of their current home, the urban beach in Venice, California. Despite these two seemingly different influences, all Twospace products stem from a single philosophy; "We try to design that favorite outfit that you want to reach for more than any other item," Haynes explains. "We believe you can look amazing, while remaining comfortable."
