Get your kids drawing – without the crayons!

5th October 2009 Print
Every parent knows how much kids love to draw. Settling them down with some sheets of paper and a set of crayons can keep them occupied for hours! Drawing does not only stimulate imagination and creativity, but it can also play a crucial role in a child’s development – improving cognitive skills, problem-solving abilities and fine motor skills.

Now an innovative new drawing software for the Wii and Nintendo DS is enabling kids to transfer all these creative drawing and design skills directly onto the screen. In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter Wii players can not only draw all their own heroes using the Wii Remote, but also design 100 unique items throughout the game such as vehicles, weapons and tools in a bid to conquer their on-screen enemies.

The all-new Action Drawing tool allows for objects to be drawn directly into the game to help navigate the game world. In addition, the game’s multi-player feature allows players to draw their team members and equipment to compete against others in a variety of mini-games, such as football, hockey and basketball.

Kids’ favourite Konnie Huq, who is fronting the launch of the new game, says, “Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is a fantastic new videogame that children of all ages will enjoy playing. Not only does this title allow their imaginations to run wild, but it also fosters their creativity, allowing them to draw their own characters and bring them to life in the game. The game is great fun and I am delighted to be involved in this campaign!”

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is also available on Wii and Nintendo DS and is available from 16 October 2009.
