Air Pacific launch new route between Hong Kong and Fiji

2nd November 2009 Print

On December 3 Air Pacific will launch their new twice weekly Boeing 767 service between Hong Kong and Fiji which is sure to boost UK visitor numbers to the South Pacific Islands.

The airline selected Hong Kong as it is a major hub for services from the UK and Europe, as well as China and other Asian centres, and it represents a good economic opportunity for both Air Pacific and Tourism Fiji.

The service will run on Thursdays and Saturdays with shared packages from Cathay Pacific, Virgin and British Airways from £799.

Jane West, Tourism Fiji’s UK Representative is enthusiastic about Air Pacific’s new plans. ”We expect this new route to give added impetus to our marketing programme and it will encourage more UK holidaymakers to visit Fiji, with Hong Kong providing an ideal stop off opportunity for visitors to enjoy prior to heading to the South Pacific.”
