Barford pub to host special Christmas wine event

The Granville @ Barford, in conjunction with Dorje’s Wine Company, will be hosting a special Christmas wine-tasting evening on Wednesday 11 November from 7pm - 10pm. 

Guests can enjoy an informal and fun evening sampling over 60 different wines from around the world including Champagnes, Sparkling Wines, Port and Dessert wines. Tickets cost just £10 per person.

Dorjes will be introducing a new range of exclusive wines from Argentina, Australia, South Africa, America, France, Italy and Spain.  From Australia guests can sample the wines of Paxton Estate, McLaren Vale, Langmeil from the Barossa together with Petaringa Boutique Winery in McLaren Vale and Wakefield Estate in the Clare Valley.  Also available will be Malbecs from Toso in Argentina and Rosé and Shiraz from Grendel, South Africa.  Champagnes will be provided from Georges Gardet and Sparkling Pinot Noir Blush from Domaine Ste Michelle, Colombia Valley, Washington State, in the U.S.A.  Special single Domaine French wines from the Loire and the Rhone will also be available to taste.

As well as sampling the extensive range of wines, Alastair and Jayne MacBrayne from Dorjé’s Wine Company will introduce the wines and provide an insight into wine appreciation.
