2nd December 2009 Print

For superb skiing and snowshoeing why not beat the crowds and travel to Les Estables? Based in the heart of the Massif Central, this spectacular setting with volcanoes, forests, prairies and nature reservations has been a gathering post for local shepherds for thousands of years.

Ski through pretty valleys and wide open plateaux to follow deer and fox tracks and gaze at the breathtaking views over the Auvergne and Alps. On a sunny afternoon it is even possible to see as far as Mont Blanc.

The seven night ‘Skiing and Snowshoeing in Les Estables’ holiday starts from £759 per person tour only travelling 6th February 2010 including full board accommodation, a fully guided cross country ski programme, local ski pass, hire of boots, poles, skis and snowshoes.

With flights and transfers, prices start from £982 per person from London Heathrow to Lyon Saint Exupery with Thomsonfly. Flights are also available on request from most UK airports with transfers as required.
