Scorpion release new Focus RS exhaust system

To many petrolheads, there’s nothing finer than a fast Ford. Little wonder then, that the latest Focus RS has proved to be popular with journos and punters alike. But any lovers of the blue oval wanting a little more urgency and volume from their RS may want to consider the latest offering from Scorpion Exhausts. A full ‘front to back’ system in T304 aerospace grade stainless steel.

Each system is hand-crafted here in the UK by Scorpion’s experienced team of experienced fabricators and uses optimised gas-flow analysis to create impressive performance and torque gains across the rev range. Each component is available separately and cleverly integrates with all OEM parts to allow enthusiasts to tune stage by stage, or spread the cost of upgrading over a few months. The system is 76mm throughout to balance back pressure for the turbo with maximum gasflow.

For those looking for maximum extraction (on the track only, officer) a full catalyst bypass is available, giving the Focus an almighty growl at full chat. Those looking for similar gains within the full realms of MOT and road legality may prefer the 200 cell sports cat, which will fly through future Ministry tests, despite massively reducing the restrictions of the stock part.

Also available is a full ‘cat back’ kit that contains the rear link pipe, box, both tailpipes and full fitting kit. The tailpipes are both finished in the ever-popular OEM+ look ‘Tuner’ pipes, in a subtle 100mm diameter. This half system has already been independently proven to produce an additional 11 BHP at and 12 ft/lb of torque at a very useful 3500 rpm.
