APH offers some New Year resolutions for travellers

30th December 2009 Print

With 2010 around the corner and those New Year resolutions looming, Airport Parking and Hotels (APH) the long stay airport parking expert, has compiled a top ten list of travel resolutions to help savvy travellers plan ahead for holidays next year.

A downloadable list is available at aph.com/2010resolutions - but here’s a sneak preview:

1. I will not rely on the UK weather for a ‘Barbecue Summer’’ this year!

2. I will consider non Euro-zone countries this year to not only broaden my horizons but also save a packet.

3. I will not forget to check my travel insurance is valid and that my policy covers the things I want to do.

4. I will not forget to check my passport is valid for at least six months before the travel date and remember to check the kid’s passports as they usually only last five years.

5. I will not forget to get the necessary vaccinations if travelling to a country that requires inoculations.

6. I will not forget to check the hidden charges on low-cost airlines before booking my flight. I’ll visit aph.com/knowbeforeyougo/hiddencharges.shtml for a guide.

7. I will make copies of important documents and leave one copy at home and load one copy onto the ‘APH Online Safe’ in case my bags get lost or stolen.

8. I will pre-book airport parking with APH to secure a parking space and the most competitive rate.

9. I will check-in online to avoid hefty check-in fees at the airport.

10. I will not forget to pack any bottles containing more than 100ml of liquid in my check-in luggage.

Airport Parking and Hotels Ltd is one of the UK's leading booking agencies and has over 29 years' experience as a retailer of pre-booked airport parking and travel extras.
