Kicking off the 2010 sport season in style, Neath Rugby Club this week thanked housebuilder Taylor Wimpey for its sponsorship of blindside flanker Lee Evans.

The housebuilder, who is currently building in the area, has sponsored the player £950, which will go towards a new kit.

Joanna Russell, regional sales manager for the housebuilder, commented: “Playing a vital role in bringing Neath’s community together, we wanted to support the club and, as soon as we knew Lee needed a new kit, we were only too happy to provide him with one. Lee may only have been at the Welsh All Blacks for two seasons but, with ambitions set on gaining even more silverware for the club, his position in the last 30 games has been crucial in Neath Rugby Club’s rise to third position in the Principality Welsh Premiership. We wish him all the very best of luck this season and hope to see him pick up the SWALEC Cup in his new kit.”

Lee Evans added: “I’ve played rugby since I was a child and enjoy being part of the team at Neath Rugby Club. Taylor Wimpey’s sponsorship provides much-needed support for the club and I am pleased that I’ll be starting this season in a kit that’s sure to help me to live up to club legends such as Allan Bateman, Gareth Llewellyn and Shane Williams! I look forward to continuing my partnership with Taylor Wimpey and celebrating Neath’s 139th anniversary this year in my new kit.”

Taylor Wimpey is currently building at two developments in Neath, Parc Groeswen in Margam and Glyn Mynydd in Godre-Graig.

Parc Groeswen is a contemporary collection of 100 two bedroom coach houses and three and four bedroom properties, priced from £107,995 while Glyn Mynydd offers a stylish selection of three and four bedroom properties, priced from £114,995.

Ideally situated just 30 minutes from Cardiff city centre and 20 minutes from Swansea city centre, Parc Groeswen benefits from excellent commuter links and provides properties without the high price tags often associated with homes in neighbouring towns and cities.

Glyn Mynydd is located in the picturesque Upper Swansea Valley, in West Glamorgan, and offers residents the best of both worlds; a quiet country life within easy access of neighbouring towns and cities.

To find out more about the range of homes currently available, visit Taylor Wimpey’s marketing suites between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Glyn Mynydd is open from Thursday to Monday and Parc Groeswen is open daily. Alternatively, for Parc Groeswen and Glyn Mynydd, log on to taylorwimpey.co.uk/southwales/.
