In front of a busy A Place in the Sun Live audience at London’s Excel Centre on 26 March, Brazil specialist uv10.com was presented with a ‘Best Small Agent 2010’ accolade by property industry watchdog the Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP).

Samantha Gore, Sales and Marketing Manager for uv10.com, collected the Award in person and had this to say, “Being singled out as a winner by the AIPP is a very proud achievement on our part. This non-profit organization helps to police the international property market making it a safer place to buy and a better place to work. The Award entry paid special attention to our due diligence, customer service and transparency when dealing with clients. The very fact that the AIPP considers us worthy of the title ‘Best Small Agent 2010’ shows not only their faith in our business practices but also how we take our responsibilities as an agent very seriously.”

The AIPP Awards are tough to win but carry enormous credibility. One of only 11 winners, one per category, uv10.com is now part of a very select group of élite property professionals. Significantly perhaps, Brazil featured heavily amongst the successful entrants with two wins for Brazilian developers alongside the Best Small Agent honour for uv10.com. This is perhaps a nod to the quality product and increasing popularity of this economically booming nation.

Samantha continues, “uv10.com is a small company and a large proportion of our sales comes from client referrals. We plan to be here for the long-term so our reputation is everything. By focusing on just one part of the world, northeast Brazil, we are able to offer expertise in every aspect of the buying process - up to, during and long after the purchase of property. Meanwhile we have first-hand experience of buying in Brazil and spend several months each year on the ground ensuring that what we are selling is both legal and makes sense as a sound property investment. Our clients benefit from, and appreciate, this in-depth knowledge. We’re delighted that AIPP also recognises our efforts.”

About AIPP
Vetted and referenced before acceptance, all AIPP Members have voluntarily agreed to follow the Association’s professional Code of Conduct and to face disciplinary action if they fail to do so.

The profile of the AIPP has been raised over recent years and the consumer is becoming much more aware of the need to select reputable property industry professionals with whom to do business. In fact, independent research conducted at A Place in the Sun Live in October 2009 confirmed that 88% of buyers feel more reassured if a company is a member of the AIPP.

The AIPP gives consumers free advice about how to buy overseas property safely and produces an annual guide. Full details including a list of Members can be found at aipp.org.uk.
