Taylor Wimpey supports Big Day Out

Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is to sponsor the Amman Valley ‘Big Day Out’ for the second year in a row.

The housebuilder presented organisers from Carmarthenshire County Council with a cheque for £2,500, which will go towards entertainment and refreshments at the event, being held at Ammanford’s Recreation Ground on Saturday 10th July 2010.

Huw Parsons, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Marketing & Tourism Manager, comments: “2009’s ‘Big Day Out’ was a fantastic success and, thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s continued sponsorship, we had a huge variety of street entertainers and refreshment stands that drew record crowds. It is with great pleasure that I can now confirm the housebuilder is continuing its sponsorship of the event this year and we are sure it will be just as successful as last year’s ‘Big Day Out’!”

Organised by Carmarthenshire County Council and Ammanford’s Rotary Club, the ‘Big Day Out’ takes place each summer and aims to get residents together to raise money for the Rotary Club’s chosen local charities.
