Couple find their perfect match with Redrow

Sandra Warren and partner Keith Waterfield liked the location of their rented accommodation in Ystrad Mynach so much that they’re moving just 200 yards to a home of their own.

The couple have been renting at Redrow’s Cwm Calon venture since they relocated from Worcestershire.

“We really like the area as there’s good access to the M4 to visit family and friends in Worcestershire and it’s not far for Keith to travel to work as a production manager so we enquired about buying and found out about the New Heritage Collection,” Sandra explained.

Keith and Sandra have now reserved one of the new homes, which boast traditional looking exteriors influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement and modern interiors.

“We wanted a new build because they’re low maintenance and we’re not DIY people. The home we thought we wanted had already been reserved but we fell in love with the ‘Windsor’ show home and decided to buy it,” Sandra commented.

The couple had planned to downsize, but are happy that their new four-bedroom home is bigger than the property they sold in Worcestershire as it means they have spare rooms for when family and friends visit.

“We wanted a proper, old-fashioned looking home with character. Everything about the ‘Windsor’ is just right for us – including the landscaped garden - and because we’ve bought the show home we don’t even need to worry about the decor. I just love the kitchen – I can’t wait to move,” Sandra commented.

Because they’ve chosen a show home, Keith and Sandra will have to wait a little while before they can move in, but those eager to make Cwm Calon their home can currently choose from a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
