Social media delivery service signs £2 million partnership deal

SendSocial is a new company that lets you send anything, anywhere, without an address. Apparently, all you need in the 21st century is an email or someone's Twitter ID.
Jonathan Grubin, CCO of SendSocial says "we live in a world of increasing nomadic existences and a constant lack of time. With physical addresses changing so quickly, very often a Twitter ID or email address remain the only constant."
The start-up has just entered a partnership with the delivery service ByBox, which means that consumers can now send and receive packages through their nearest dropbox, rather than wait at home for a courier to turn up. ByBox currently provides secure person-to-person deliveries across its 3,500 nationwide drop boxes at over 300 locations.
The partnership is valued at an estimated £2 million and set to leave traditional methods of delivery well and truly stuck in the slow lane. The terms of the deal entitle SendSocial to a sizable number of free deliveries with ByBox, a benefit that will in turn be passed on to consumers across the UK.
Stuart Miller, CEO of ByBox said “Convenience is at the heart of the ByBox service – we try to make it as easy as possible for our customers to collect their goods. Working with SendSocial will allow us to extend this convenience and flexibility to an even wider consumer audience. The innovation behind SendSocial, coupled with ByBox’s network of boxes from Truro to Inverness and most towns in between will provide consumers with a great alternative to traditional methods of delivery which so often let them down.”
