Redrow chooses Caldicot Castle for new homes launch

Award winning housebuilder Redrow has chosen the historic setting of Caldicot Castle to tell people about its latest New Heritage Collection homes at Nedern Rise, in Caldicot.
A special preview event is being held at the castle on Wednesday, June 9th, from 4pm to 7pm, when people can see plans, photographs and find out more about the range of traditional looking homes.
The preview comes ahead of the opening of two fully furnished show homes at Nedern Rise, off Church Road East, later in June.
Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), says: “We’ll be taking off-plan reservations for Nedern Rise at Caldicot Castle on June 9th and those who reserve on the night will be rewarded with £2,500 worth of ‘extras’ when their new home is complete.
“Anyone with an existing property to sell will also be able to find out about part-exchange; the easy way to move up to a brand new home without worrying about estate agent’s fees or getting stuck in a housing chain.”
Nedern Rise will eventually comprise 109 properties from Redrow’s ‘Arts & Crafts’ influenced New Heritage Collection.
Already popular at developments in Abergavenny, Caerphilly and Swansea, these traditional looking homes display distinctive doors, windows, decorative detailing and other features reminiscent of one of one of the most popular and enduring of domestic architectural styles. Although dating from the late 1900s, the Arts & Crafts influence can be seen in many so-called ‘character’ homes from later periods, especially the 1920s and 1930s.
“However, inside our New Heritage Collection homes are brought right up to date with a bright and modern interior specification,” adds Rachael. “There’s an emphasis on convivial open plan spaces that are perfect for family living and our contemporary kitchen designs feature floor to ceiling cabinets and top brand name appliances.
“Because they are brand new they’re generally more energy efficient, economical to run and easier to maintain than older period-style properties, whilst still displaying plenty of character.”
The first phase of homes at Nedern Rise will include a mix of three, four and six-bedroom homes. Two show homes will open during June – four-bedroom detached ‘Lincoln’ and ‘Stratford’ styles – with three others following in September. Prices will be released on Wednesday, June 9th at Caldicot Castle.
The area of south east Wales where they’re being built is surrounded by beautiful countryside yet offers easy access to the M4 motorway. Caldicot offers a good range of shops, schools and other services, including a weekly market.
