Build restarts at Cefn Maes in St. Clears

Build has restarted at Taylor Wimpey’s Cefn Maes development in St. Clears. After a turbulent 18 months for the property market in Wales, build of the second phase of homes is now underway at the development.
Sara Taylor, regional sales and marketing director, comments: “The restart of build at Cefn Maes is incredibly positive. With the recent downturn in the housing market there has been a knock on effect on housing production. However, the market is beginning to pick up again, demand is increasing and we’re happy to get back to what we do best – building quality homes.”
The housebuilder has seen a significant increase in the number of people looking to buy new, with the the new phase of homes, currently being built, already 90% sold. To keep up with demand, Taylor Wimpey has applied for and been granted permission to build three bedroom homes at the development.
Sara Taylor explains: “To date, we have only been able to offer four and five bedroom properties at Cefn Maes however many of our visitors have been looking for slightly smaller, three bedroom properties.
“We are delighted to have been granted planning permission to build the new Raglan style properties and hope it will bring a new offering to house hunters in the local area.”
Taylor Wimpey is now taking reservations for the second phase at Cefn Maes, which will comprise three, four and five bedroom homes. Four bedroom properties currently start from £169,995.
