Redrow enters home straight in Ashford

Having built and sold 500 new homes during 10 years in Ashford, Redrow is offering buyers a final chance to buy one of its outstanding properties in the popular Kent town.
There are just 10 homes remaining at Redrow’s newest development, The Paddocks, which has followed in the successful footsteps of previous ventures at De Montford Park and, previously, Templars Mead.
The final homes are a selection of two, three and four-bedroom properties, ideal for professionals and families alike and perfectly situated just three miles from Ashford town centre, where the high speed train link to London takes just 37 minutes.
Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: “It’s the end of an era for Redrow in Ashford as we have been building here for around 10 years and have provided approximately 500 new homes.
“However, we are delighted to still be able to offer these last few homes to buyers and will certainly not be ruling out further developments in Ashford to build on our successes here. With our high quality craftsmanship and wide-range of homes to suits all types of buyer, we have obviously struck on a winning formula that local homebuyers appreciate.”
Among the final homes available is the two-bedroom ‘Calder’ house, which features two double bedrooms, a fully-fitted kitchen / dining room, separate lounge and a ground floor cloakroom. In addition, like all Redrow homes, it boasts the latest statement-making kitchen designs and a modern bathroom with white suite and quality fixtures and fittings.
It’s a great home for couples, young professionals, friends sharing and young families and is priced at £159,950. Three-bedroom houses are also available, priced from £179,950 and there is one remaining four-bedroom home available for £233,950.
Selected properties are available to purchase through HomeBuy Direct, which provides homebuyers with an equity loan for up to 30% of the purchase price.
The equity loan is jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and is interest free for the first five years.
First time buyers, key workers and people re-entering the property market after a relationship break-up are among those who can apply for HomeBuy Direct – provided their annual household income is less than £60,000.
Customers own 100% of their home from day one – but only have to pay between 70 and 85% of the purchase price.
Ashford itself boasts two shopping centres with many popular high street stores, as well as a designer outlet centre on the outskirts of the town centre, a popular market, restaurants, pubs and hotels.
There’s easy access to the M20, connecting to the M26 and M25 and, for those who like to travel further afield, the town enjoys fast links to the continent via the Eurostar at Ashford International station.
