New Heritage Collection homes arrive in Aberdare

Two family-friendly show homes will open their doors in Aberdare, this weekend (July 17/18) to showcase the style and quality of Redrow’s New Heritage Collection homes.
Visitors to Redrow’s Three Oaks development can view these instantly recognisable traditional homes in all their glory thanks to a pair of show homes that have been professionally styled and furnished by an expert team of interior designers.
A range of 34 different homes, The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product with more than a hint of nostalgia, influenced by the ‘Arts and Crafts’ era, but boasting a specification to meet the needs of modern lifestyles. Redrow has deliberately set out to reintroduce a high degree of individuality to the way its homes look and feel and create spacious homes that people can live in for a lifetime.
Luly Brice, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said; “We have created two show homes ideal for families, which combine modern styling with the well-loved attributes and comforts of a traditional looking family home.
“Just like our New Heritage Collection, the show homes bring together the best of old and new - we’ve effortlessly blended the keepsakes that a family may have brought with them from their previous homes, with contemporary new furniture and up-to-the minute style.”
The four-bedroom Oxford has a subtle colour scheme of soft gold, ivory and white, which is brought to life through delicate glass chandelier light fittings and light oak furniture, emphasising the traditional theme.
This ‘heritage’ feel continues though into the kitchen where a vintage dresser, filled with antique-style crockery emulates a family heirloom that has been passed down through generations. This is complimented by one of Redrow’s high specification modern kitchens, which feature floor to ceiling units, central islands and top name appliances.
The master bedroom features white French-style furniture, padded silk and beaded glass accessories. The little girl’s room has a fun ballerina theme, while the teenage boy’s room is fit for a rock-star in the making with a drum kit and posters of local heroes, Stereophonics.
Next door in the three-bedroom ‘Warwick’, a slightly more contemporary design incorporates subtle metallic taupes and soft green tones, still in keeping with New Heritage Theme, which is about combining attributes we loved about our homes of the past with those we look for in a modern home. The master bedroom has a floral textured wall, sleek walnut bedside furniture and a large padded headboard, making it a comfortable and inviting space .
The spare bedroom has been designed to portray a fictional family history, which includes a framed collection of old letters, and a princess and the frog theme adorns bedroom three.
Three Oaks is a popular venture with some fabulous views of the surrounding woodland and countryside. Situated right in the heart of the tranquil Rhondda Valley, within easy reach of Aberdare town centre and Cardiff and Swansea via road or rail, it offers its residents the best of both worlds.
Prices for the new three and four-bedroom homes from The New Heritage Collection at Three Oaks will be confirmed at the launch event.
