If you’re keen to buy a brand new home that boasts luxury throughout, but don’t think you could afford something special, then think again as now really is the time to buy at one of the finest new housing developments in Kent – Charles Church’s Medway Gate in Cuxton.

Unfortunately time is running out on one of the most affordable ways to buy a new home for first time buyers at Medway Gate as the much admired 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme will soon come to an end, so Tracey Lee, sales director at Charles Church is urging househunters to register their interest now before they potentially miss out on their dream property.

Tracey states: “HomeBuy Direct has proved to be an extremely advantageous means for many of our purchasers to achieve homeownership at our beautiful Medway Gate development. By only having to raise finances for 70 per cent of the asking price, they have been able to secure a competitive mortgage product and subsequently their monthly mortgage repayments are much more affordable.

“We currently have nine stunning two bedroom apartments available including our delightful show apartment, and we also have a charming four bedroom family home on offer through the scheme, which won’t remain at this significantly reduced price for too much longer.”

Prices for the apartments through HomeBuy Direct start from £90,965 (or from £129,950 on the open market), while the four bedroom Brambling townhouse is available from as little as £157,465 under the initiative.

Tracey concludes: “Although buying your first home may feel daunting, with HomeBuy Direct this needn’t be the case. Across our Southern region we have assisted dozens of purchasers in finding a luxury new apartment or housetype through the scheme at a price they can easily afford, and 16 of these alone have bought at Medway Gate. With such a limited time left until the incentive comes to a close, it’s imperative that househunters come and take a look at our magnificent range of properties before they miss out.”

HomeBuy Direct is available to those earning a household income of less than £60,000. Homebuyers are required to raise a mortgage and a small five per cent deposit of up to 70 per cent while the remaining 30 per cent is co-funded by Charles Church and the Government and remains interest and repayment free for the first five years.

Cuxton offers an abundance of local amenities including a good selection of shops, pubs and a recreation centre as well as a good range of local state and independent schools. Situated around three miles away is the city of Rochester which also has a historic footing thanks to the world-famous dockyard and variety of antiques stores.
