New show home takes centre stage at Ninian Park

Redrow is set to unveil a new show home at Ninian Park this weekend (August 7/8), where the quality housebuilder is redeveloping the former football stadium site.
Designed, decorated and furnished by interior design company Show Business, the three-bedroom ‘Garton’ show home features a classic scheme of ivory, mocha, bronze and pewter. The overall look for this desirable three-storey home is a quality, luxurious feel, which families can create on a realistic budget.
There’s an unusual layout which makes way for a stunning open plan lounge, dining area, kitchen and family room covering the entire first floor, where the designers have mixed traditional elements with modern pieces.
“Having the main living accommodation on the first floor makes for peace and quiet and privacy. And having a third bedroom and cloakroom with shower on the ground floor creates an almost self-contained area that would suit a grown-up child, elderly relative or guests,” says Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales).
The various areas of the spacious open plan first floor are defined by their distinct uses. There’s a casual breakfast area, with a modern glass, chrome and cream dining table set against the stylish back drop of contemporary wallpaper featuring teapots and jugs. In contrast, another part of the room is an area for more formal dining with a wenge dark wood table.
The lounge area has been given a contemporary look, softened to give it a ‘family feel’. There are throws over the sofas, strips of different wallpaper and gallery style artwork. The quality kitchen boasts floor to ceiling cabinets and top name built-in appliances.
On the floor above, relaxation is the key theme of the master bedroom, where soft greys and minks have been used to create a calming room, with a touch of glamour added by a studded headboard and elegant bedside lamps. This room also has an en suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has been decorated for a skateboarding teenage boy, and features creative graffiti style wall art. Bedroom three has been styled as a guest bedroom with a ‘magnolia in bloom’ floral wallpaper, metallic touches and elegant bedroom furniture in wenge wood with tapered legs.
Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales) said: “This is a home real families can enjoy. The fantastic first floor living and kitchen area is very much the ‘heart’ of the home. It’s perfect for modern family life and the space is very versatile.
“The Garton show home really brings this house type to life, and gives visitors to the development the chance to really imagine themselves living here.”
Ninian Park is conveniently located less than two miles from the city centre, with excellent transport links and a good range of schools in the immediate area.
After 99 years of hosting Cardiff City fixtures, the site of the former stadium is now making way for a collection of 142 new homes.
The development will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with current availability including three-bedroom houses from £169,995. A ‘Garton’, like the show home, is priced from £199,995. Four-bedroom homes are also available, priced from £259,995.
The new ‘Garton’ show home will be open from 10am on Saturday, August 7th and adds to the existing fully furnished ‘Fulbrook’ show home and ‘Eastry’ view home and gallery – meaning there’s plenty for visitors to see.
Redrow will consider part exchange on selected plots for those who have an existing property to sell.
