Persimmon supports first time buyers in rural areas

A recent report by the National Housing Federation has highlighted that those wanting to buy their first home in a rural area are facing even more difficulty than ever to get onto the property ladder in their local village, as the average rural property price is now 12 times the average salary of those working in the countryside.

For those living on the beautiful Isle of Sheppey, this needn’t be a worry though as Persimmon Homes South East’s Clarence Place development in Minster, Sheppey has a range of attractive properties ideal for first time buyers, which are being marketed at a price they can comfortably afford.

Jason Stokes, sales director for Persimmon Homes South East, states: “Our housetypes start on the open market from just £124,500 for a two bedroom apartment, making them extremely affordable for those wanting to remain in their home village whilst achieving that all important first rung on the property ladder.”

Jason adds: “At Persimmon we strongly believe in supporting a wide variety of househunters, including first time buyers who want to remain in a rural setting, which is why we’re offering our homes in Minster at such an affordable price.”

Sheppey is lined with glorious beaches and home to sea views, whilst the local leisure park enables the views to be taken in while canoeing, windsurfing or simply enjoying the nine hole pitch and putt golf course. The sights can also be appreciated at a more leisurely pace in Sheerness which offers a range of cafes, bars and specialists shops.

For further information on the full range of homes available please contact the marketing suite, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
