Celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has come up with a novel campaign, “lighting up your sky”  that will reach out to customers throughout Bahrain and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia offering them a chance to win over 7000 prizes during the holy month.

"The holy month of Ramadan that has just begun is a period when people fast during the day and come together in the evening enjoying the spirit of camaraderie and communion and look forward to the grand celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr,” says Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samer Majali.

“What better occasion there can be than joining this togetherness and giving the people of Bahrain and the Eastern Province an opportunity to win free tickets on Gulf Air plus 20% discount on pre-ordered duty-free goods that passengers can collect onboard. Our loyal Frequent Flyer members are not forgotten; they can redeem their miles at half-price during the promotion period.”

“This is a great opportunity for those wishing to visit any of the 43 cities that we fly to, for vacation, shopping, visiting friends and relatives or just to relax,” Mr. Majali concluded.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, Gulf Air Sky Patrol teams will be visiting customers at coffee shops, Ramadan tents and hotels at certain times, which are listed at gulfair.com/RamadanKareem, facebook or twitter. The team, with Apple iPad devices, will ask customers to fill in their details and a ‘virtual scratch and win’ card will be sent to them. Once they scratch it, their prizes are revealed. The prize details along with terms and conditions are also emailed to them immediately.

Over 7000 prizes are waiting to be won in the ‘lighting up your sky’ campaign and winners can complete their travel  before 30th November, 2010 excluding certain dates.
