Kinmel Bay housebuilder resumes work at Parc Morfa

Families struggling to find a quality-built new home in Kinmel Bay will be pleased to learn that locally-based K & C Homes has resumed building work at what has previously been a popular location.

The first phase of homes at Parc Morfa, off Morfa Avenue, sold out 18 months ago, and the award-winning developer had put the next set of homes on hold when the economic downturn hit.

But now the Kinmel Bay company is officially relaunching Parc Morfa on Saturday, August 28th, renewing its commitment to providing first rate family housing in the area.

It comes as local estate agent Jones & Redfearn reports that they are beginning to see some signs of improvement in the new homes market.

David Jones, of Jones and Redfearn, said: “We have begun to see levels of interest in new homes improving, despite the overall market remaining sluggish. Enquiries for new build homes are slightly up and therefore K & C will be well placed to take advantage of this. They are the only new-build developer in the Kinmel Bay area with homes currently available.

“By releasing a wide range of house types, their homes will suit many different types of buyer, from first time buyers to growing families.”

The Rhyl office of Jones & Redfearn will be helping K & C with the marketing of Parc Morfa.

The recent Housing Market Survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) also showed that demand for property in Wales remains among the strongest in the UK.

Chris White, managing director of K & C Group, based at the Tir Llwyd Enterprise Park, said: “Although the market remains slow, there will always be people who want or need to move and it is our hope that the demand for well-priced family housing in Kinmel Bay will gradually build. It’s encouraging that Jones and Redfearn report that enquiries for brand new homes are up; and, with very little supply available locally, we think that our homes will meet that demand.

“We’ve already begun work on the next stage of development at Parc Morfa and hope to eventually repeat the success of our previous phases.”

Nine newly built homes have been released for sale, with more scheduled for release later in the year. The current crop includes three-bedroom semi-detached houses from just £139,950 and four-bedroom detached houses up to £184,950.

The development is well-placed for local amenities, with an infants and primary school and a leisure centre close by. It is also ideally located for all the shops and facilities in Kinmel Bay as well as being just a short distance from the sea front.

Chris added: “Our new homes should be a popular choice for local people and also those looking to relocate to the area after regularly spending holidays in the area over the years. They will also suit those who regularly commute along the North Wales coast or to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. There’s easy access to the A55 expressway and Rhyl train station is just two miles away, providing rail links nationally.”

Parc Morfa will be relaunched via an ‘open house’ event between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, August 28th. Prospective purchasers will be able to view a completed and carpeted home to get a real sense of the quality of the homes on offer. There will also be an independent financial advisor on hand to discuss mortgage options.
