People looking for a brand new home in the Flintshire town of Buckley will be able to make an informed decision about what’s right for them with the opening of three show homes.

Award-winning Redrow has been selling homes at its Heathlands venture ‘off plan’ since April, but from this weekend (September 11 and 12) potential purchasers will be able to look inside a trio of fully furnished show homes.

And on Sunday potential purchasers will be invited to join Redrow for afternoon tea.

Redrow research found that those looking to buy a new home billed show homes as ‘very important’ or even ‘essential’, with some customers saying they were unable to picture a house without one.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “Homebuyers in Buckley have shown a keen interest in the properties we are building at Heathlands and, while some people have the confidence to buy ‘off plan’, others are waiting to be able to look inside the homes.”

The three-bedroom ‘Warwick’ and four-bedroom Stratford’ and ‘Cambridge’ show homes are from Redrow’s critically acclaimed New Heritage Collection.

Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, the New Heritage Collection combines traditional exteriors with modern interiors styled for 21st century lifestyles.

“The New Heritage Collection enables Redrow customers to enjoy the external character of a ‘period’ property but with the benefit of a practical, modern interior,” Elaine commented.

“With fashionable kitchen designs, including floor to ceiling units and top name appliances, plus sleek modern bathrooms with quality fixtures and fittings, buyers won’t have to worry about finding the time or the money for expensive repairs, renovations or modernisation. And because new homes are generally more energy efficient than their older counterparts, they’re potentially cheaper to run.”

Prices at Heathlands start from £199,995 for a three-bedroom ‘Warwick’, similar to the show home.

Homeowners already living in Redrow properties built at nearby Forest Walk a decade ago are among those who have expressed an interest in Heathlands.

“Our customers have grown to expect high quality workmanship and when you’re ready to move up the property ladder, where better than to another Redrow home?” Elaine said.

“And if you’ve got an existing property to sell we may be able to help with our Mastermove service, which uses the services of a local estate agent to market your home with Redrow paying the selling fees.”

Heathlands lies in the heart of Buckley, close to the town centre, yet enjoys a semi-rural location with mature trees, 11 acres of open space and a managed nature reserve, which is home to an important colony of great crested newts. The completed development will provide footpath links to the existing Buckley Heritage Trail, a circular walk that gives an insight into the brick-making industry that flourished in the area during the industrial revolution.

There are amenities to cater for residents’ everyday needs within walking distance, while Chester is just 10 miles away and Liverpool and Manchester are also easily accessible. Or if it’s a quieter pace of life you’re looking for, the beautiful North Wales countryside is just a few minutes’ drive away.

To be among the first to look inside the new show homes at Heathlands, visit the development in Church Road, Buckley, from 10am on September 11th. Afternoon tea will be served on Sunday between 12noon and 4pm.
