Belgo, the renowned moules, frites and beer restaurant, will be celebrating Oktoberfest this year with its “Wednesday Night Pilgrimage”. Diners can pre-book a place at a Beer & Food pairing masterclass - hosted by Belgo’s very own habit-wearing “Master of Beer”.

These will take place at 7pm each Wednesday thought October at Belgo Centraal, Belgo Noord and Belgo Kingsway. Simply quote “Wednesday Night Pilgrimage” when booking.

The sessions will be a communal affair, with seats allocated on long tables - a great opportunity to meet other beer and food lovers. “Pilgrimages” cost £33, which includes a three course menu, with each course paired to specially selected beer from Belgo’s eclectic cellar of Trappist brews, Abbey and Lambic beers, many of which are still made by Monks today.

The specially prepared masterclass dishes include a Champagne, duck and truffle terrine starter, paired with De Koninck Blonde; Carbonnade of braised beef cooked in Faro beer and served with Witcap Stimulo beer; and Pear poached in raspberry beer served with lemon sorbet and Floris Apple beer.

In addition, all Belgo restaurants will be offering two buckets of Belgian beer throughout Oktoberfest, each comprising four bottles served on ice for £15:

• Bucket 1: Floris Apple, Mongozo Banana, Floris Krierk (cherry), Floris Mango
• Bucket 2: Delirium Nocturnum, Delirium Tremmens, Floris Framboise, Floris Wit Blanche
