A great alternative to flying, Wicked Campers' Toyota vans come with unlimited mileage and plenty of storage space for those all-important gifts. Plus the campervans have automatic transmission, electric windows, heating, a comfortable double bed, table, basic built-in kitchen with sink and essential cooking equipment and a CD player or iPod/MP3 connection to play those festive tunes. Customers can even take Rover on the road-trip. Pets are welcome. There is a compulsory charge of £50.
Depots are situated in London, Dundee, Belfast, Amsterdam, Munich, Barcelona, Malaga and San Benedetto (Italy). Customers have two types of hire choices. The first is round-trip hire where the van is collected and dropped off at the same depot. The second is one-way hire where, for example, a van can be collected from Munich and dropped off in London.
During the winter season, prices for four days' round-trip hire in a two-seater van starts from £204 for travel in the UK or £228 for travel in Europe. The price includes pick-up and drop-off from a choice of UK and European depots, insurance for one driver aged 25 and over, unlimited mileage and 24-hour roadside assistance. One way fees apply if picking up/dropping off at a different depot.
Over Christmas and New Year (24 January - 5 December), Wicked Campers have a minimum hire of seven days. As a festive treat, they are offering an extra day's hire absolutely free over this period (with savings of up to £53). Simply quote TREAT when booking.
