Plusnet pledges cheapest standalone broadband package

It will be interesting to see how the other broadband providers react."

"Consumers should always think carefully before switching, however. Cost is not the only component to consider when choosing a broadband package and it's important that consumers select a download allowance that will match their usage needs.  For example, Plusnet's Value package has a download limit of 10GB but it does allow free overnight downloads.

"It's also worth noting that this offer is not available with a bundle. Consumers who want to include home phone or digital TV as part of their telecoms package should do a postcode search using an Ofcom-accredited comparison site.  Broadband is frequently discounted - or even provided for free - as part of a bundled package."
