With the festive season fast approaching, Emirates Holidays has launched its Ski & Winter Holidays Brochure 2010-2011 offering a quintessential winter holiday experience.

This year’s brochure features 15 carefully selected ski resorts across six countries worldwide. It highlights not only ski holidays, but also presents a broader choice for winter experiences. From the alpine vistas of Zermatt in Switzerland, to the snow-covered landscapes of Austria’s Kitzbuhel, all the way to the breathtaking Rocky Mountains backdrop of Aspen, Colorado – there is something for everyone. Whether you are a seasoned ski enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a white winter – the brochure provides an extensive choice of flexible and tailor-made packages designed specifically to help travellers make the most out of their holiday.

Dina Al Herais, Vice President Commercial Operations, Emirates Holidays, said: “Building on the popularity and success of last year when we introduced the ‘winter experiences’ in the brochure, we have extended our choice of products and activities even more.

Ms. Al Herais added: “Alongside the legendary ski slopes for those who are passionate about the sport, the new brochure highlights the vast array of other winter experiences available including horse-drawn sleigh rides, browsing around brightly lit Christmas markets in centuries-old towns or tobogganing with the family on the world’s longest sledge run at Interlaken, Switzerland.

“Every year our customers’ expectations become more sophisticated in terms of what they want from a winter holiday. As always, we have taken great care to ensure every customer’s taste and budget is catered for.”

A winter escape with Emirates Holidays promises many different memorable experiences, from high quality skiing to a choice of luxury and charming accommodation. Travelers can indulge in the picture postcard setting of Europe’s old cobbled streets filled with traditional stalls selling decorated wooden toys, gifts and festive decorations, or enjoy choral singing by candlelight and the smell of roasted chestnuts and gingerbread biscuits.

Once again featured this year is Zermatt in Switzerland, which offers the highest skiing in Europe at 3,800 metres against the backdrop of the Matterhorn. This natural winter paradise has one of the longest ski seasons in the Alps and offers lively après-ski varied enough to suit all tastes. It is car free, making horse-drawn sleighs a popular mode of transport and creating the ambience of a bygone era. For the non-skiers there are plenty of shops to explore and restaurants to enjoy along with the fascinating Matterhorn museum.
