Ischgl, the Alps' most innovative resort, is used to leading the way with its mountain improvements and winter attractions - and now it's cutting fresh tracks with a fabulous new website.

The internet presentation of the Austrian resort has been given a complete makeover and relaunch, with a host of exciting new functions - such as a ski pass calculator, web cam archive and GPS positioning on the slopes.

This will help the resort, in the Paznaun Valley at the Western end of the Tirol, build on the already spectacular success it has had with its web image - a 32 per cent increase last year on the number of hits.

The pages for the other Paznaun resorts of Galtür, Kappl and See have also been given a new look.

You can check out hotel availability direct on the new website and the new ski pass calculator enables visitors to select their own tailor-made liftpass before arrival.

A new iPhone app with GPS positioning is available for Ischgl, enabling the resort to play a pioneering role in the field of piste security and skiing comfort. BlackBerry and Android services will be available in time for the new season, which opens in Ischgl at the end of November with an open air concert by Indie rock band Gossip. Galtür opens on 4 December, Kappl on 10 December and See on 18 December.

Check out the new websites on ischgl.com, galtuer.com, kappl.com and see.at and follow the social media links for all the latest chat on Facebook and Twitter, read the latest blog and view events on YouTube.

Said Andreas Steibl, Tourist Director of Paznaun-Ischgl: "It was important for us to equip the new websites with the functionalities needed by the guests and the tourist industry. Successful fields like Last Minute, which enabled us to treble online bookings in March and April last winter season, have been retained and strengthened."
