Cilantro Restaurant awarded second AA Rosette
Cilantro Restaurant at the Millennium Madejski Hotel Reading has recently gained further well-deserved recognition with the award of its second Rosette from the AA.
The long-established Rosette scheme recognises successful cooking at different levels across the UK and achieving rosettes is based on one or more visits by an AA inspector. Cilantro was previously awarded its first Rosette in September 2000. Under the AA scheme, this second Rosette means that Cilantro has been upgraded to an "excellent restaurant that aims for and achieves higher standards and better consistency. A greater precision is apparent in the cooking, and there is an obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients."
Cilantro is a fine dining restaurant specialising in Modern European cuisine using the freshest produce while being carefully prepared and cooked. Some of the popular dishes prepared by Executive Chef Denzil Newton include whole roasted lobster with potato bon bon and macaroni cheese, and medallions of Cornish lamb with baby spinach, minted hollandaise and gratin potatoes.
Ruraigh Whitehead, General Manager at the Millennium Madejski Hotel Reading, commented: "We are honoured to have been awarded another Rosette for our Cilantro Restaurant. Cilantro is not just a restaurant but also a fine dining experience, which we hope more guests will enjoy in years to come."
