Estonian Air doubles flights from London to Tallinn
Estonian Air (estonianair.ee) is doubling its flying schedule from London Gatwick to Tallinn for summer 2011 with flights on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, starting from 27th March 2011.
The announcement comes hard on the heels of Ryanair confirming seven new routes out of Estonia beginning in October 2010, including three new flights from the UK and Ireland, from London Luton, Dublin and Edinburgh.
Easyjet has also recently announced that it is adding a three times weekly direct route from Liverpool, in addition it its existing frequent Stansted flights, starting in April 2011.
The increase in flying schedules from the three airlines come just in time for Estonia as Tallinn hosts its year as European Capital of Culture in 2011, the same year in which marks Estonia’s 20th year of independence since the Soviet withdrawal in 1991.
