Wrexham homebuyers are swapping city living for the good life as the rural postcode becomes a coveted family must have.

According to figures from the Halifax this week*, the rural property market is booming as the lifestyle benefits of living in the country resonate with homebuyers.

Housebuilder Morris, the developer of Penmere Park in the rural village of Penley, has also seen a surge of enquires from families who want to escape to the quiet of the countryside.

Julie Smith, regional sales director for Morris, said “Penley is fast becoming a property hotspot for parents who need to be near Wrexham, Shrewsbury and Chester for work but dream of living in the heart of the country.

“Penley is a traditional village community that combines the beautiful rolling countryside with easy access to all the amenities a family could need.”

Morris is also offering the part exchange scheme on selected properties at the development, which enable homeowners to sell their existing home directly to the housebuilder for 110 per cent of its market value.

Julie Smith added, “Part-exchange offers an easy way to climb the property ladder and upgrade to your dream home in the country without the hassle selling your existing house.

“The scheme gives you the advantage of having no estate agency fees to pay, no property chain to worry about and a guaranteed buyer for your current house - leaving you free to start enjoying your new countryside home straight away.”

Morris currently has a range of three at the development under the part exchange starting from just £157,750 and four bedroom properties scheme starting from £224,750.

For more information, visit the sales office (open Thursday to Monday between 9.30am and 4.30pm) at Penmere Park, Oakwood Park, Penley, LL13 0JP.
