Michelin stars for Sol Meliá in Marbella & Barcelona

Sol Meliá has reaffirmed the importance it’s luxury brands place on exceptional gastronomy. Two new Michelin stars have been awarded to chef Dani Garcia and the Torres brothers, at the restaurants Calima and Dos Cielos, respectively.
The renowned and charismatic chef Dani García received the second star for his restaurant Calima, in the Gran Melia Don Pepe hotel in Marbella. The first star at Calima has stood since 2007, and was awarded for its creative and innovative cuisine, with excellent service and a special wine room. The second star consolidates its excellent reputation and affirms the contribution of their work to the current dining scene.
The Michelin Guide has also recognized the work of the brothers Javier and Sergio Torres at the restaurant Dos Cielos, a gastronomic temple for the young cosmopolitan in the ME Barcelona. The Michelin star is the ultimate recognition of the Catalan chefs' and their team's work. They have achieved this accolade in just two years since opening and now join the exclusive list of top restaurants globally.
This dual recognition, as the Vice Chairman and CEO of Sol Meliá, Gabriel Escarrer, says "reaffirms the company's concept of haute cuisine being inseparable from luxury hotels for hotel guests."
