Easy living at Oast View in Bearsted

Sheila and Kenneth Morrow had been living in Bearsted for four years and were not looking to move house. That was until they saw the fantastic Oast View development that award-winning housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes was building in the village.
“We were living just down the road by the village green and near to The Oak on the Green pub,” says Sheila. “I walk my dog along Church Lane, which is where Oast View is situated, so I saw the development being built. I have never lived in a brand-new house and I really liked the look of the homes that Millwood was building. We were not looking to move but we saw an opportunity to buy a new home off-plan in the location that we love. We went to see another Millwood development, The Grange in Brasted, Kent, and we really liked what we saw so we decided to go and take a look at Oast View.”
“We were really happy with the overall design and layout at Oast View,” continues Kenneth. “It is quite open and there are only nine homes so it is not overcrowded, a common mistake that housebuilders often make. Each home has its own space and a real sense of privacy whilst at the same time still benefitting from a wonderful community feel.”
“Our home is absolutely gorgeous,” says Sheila. “It is really spacious with a large open-plan living/dining room with French doors leading onto the beautiful rear landscaped garden. There are three good-sized bedrooms set over two floors, two of which have their own en suite and there is also a large family bathroom. The house is in such a fabulous rural location, surrounded by trees and greenery, and I really enjoy having my morning cup of tea in the open-plan kitchen/breakfast room, watching the squirrels outside the window. It is sheer heaven!
“We moved from a Grade II listed property and loved the idea that buying a brand new house meant that we had absolutely no work to do. The maintenance will be minimal, too, giving us complete peace of mind. We absolutely love living in our new home, the quality is outstanding and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Millwood to friends and family. It was certainly worth moving down the road!”
The remaining four-bedroom detached former show home has now been released, priced at £539,950. For further information, visit: mdh.uk.com
