Homes combining best of old and new a hit in Maidstone

Dozens of eager homebuyers attended the launch of a new development of beautifully crafted homes in Maidstone.
Redrow’s New Heritage Collection at The Grange venture is already proving popular as it brings a wider choice of larger family homes to the local market.
The new two, three and four-bedroom designs have been chosen from Redrow’s ‘Arts & Crafts’ influenced housing collection, which features homes with the exterior character and period-style features of older properties, but win hands down when it comes to bright modern interiors.
Visitors to the launch event were impressed with the stylish interiors of the new ‘Oxford’ and ‘Cambridge’ show homes, which showcase the potential of the properties as real family homes.
Suzanne Irons, sales director for Redrow Homes (Eastern) commented: “We had a flurry of visitors over the launch weekend and we’re excited at the prospect of a successful new homes development taking shape.
“I have every confidence the venture will build on our previous success in Maidstone, with our neighbouring Sutton Woods venture, and look forward to providing homebuyers with a wider choice of two, three and four-bedroom executive family homes.”
The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product with more than a hint of nostalgia, influenced by the ‘Arts and Crafts’ era, but boasting a specification to meet the needs of modern lifestyles.
Being built on the former site of Senacre College, alongside Sutton Woods, the new homes are designed to stand out from the crowd with a high degree of individuality.
The contemporary interior specification includes convivial open plan living spaces, fashionable kitchen designs with floor to ceiling units, central islands and top brand name appliances, plus bathrooms that are sleek, modern and pleasing to the eye.
The ‘best of old and new’ approach also means these homes compete strongly with the second hand sector and don’t require any expensive modernisation or DIY. In addition, there’s potential for further cost-saving on fuel bills, as the homes are being built to comply with Level 3 of the Government’s Code for Sustainable homes. This means home owners will benefit from the energy saving properties of solar power renewable energy systems, low-use water management systems, low energy use light fittings and waste segregation bins to encourage recycling.
Already popular at developments in Cambridgeshire, Berkshire and East Sussex, The Grange is bringing Redrow’s New Heritage Collection to a wider audience in the south of England and will feature 77 homes in total. The development will incorporate some stunning mature trees and areas of open space, while being just a short walk from the picturesque Mote Park and conveniently close to Maidstone town centre.
As Kent’s county town, Maidstone has a wide variety of shops, schools, sports and leisure centres, bars and restaurants, while Maidstone East station offers journey times to London Victoria or Charing Cross of around an hour.
Prices for the New Heritage Collection at The Grange, in Maidstone, are from £249,950 for a three-bedroom home and from £286,950 for a four-bedroom design. For more information, log on to: redrow.co.uk
