LinkedIn reaches 100 million members worldwide

LinkedIn has announced reaching a major milestone in its development: 100 million professionals are now members of the largest professional network worldwide.

This means a steady growth of roughly one million new LinkedIn members every week, the equivalent of a professional joining the site at faster than one member per second. In Europe, LinkedIn hit 20 million users in December 2010. Last week, the company also announced the opening of a new LinkedIn office in Paris, following UK, Netherlands and Ireland.
