Worldhotels partners with Finnair

8th April 2011 Print

Worldhotels, one of the leading groups for independent hotels, has welcomed Finnair as its 19th airline partner.

No other group of independent hotels offers guests a larger selection of frequent flyer programmes.

Thanks to the new partnership, over 1.2 million Finnair Plus members will now be able to earn a minimum of 500 miles per stay on qualifying rates at all participating hotels within the portfolio of 450 Worldhotels properties around the world.

Founded in 1923, Finnair is one of the world’s longest established airlines. Finnair flies to most large European cities, including London and Manchester in the UK, and is one of the major players in traffic between Europe and Asia, flying to South Korea, India, China, Japan and Thailand. In May 2011 the carrier will launch flights to Singapore. In Northern America, long haul destinations are New York, Toronto and Chicago. Finnair has one of the youngest and most eco-efficient narrow-body fleets with more than 60 aircraft and flies over seven million people per year. “We are delighted to welcome Finnair as our latest airline partner”, says Robert Hornman, Managing Director of Worldhotels. “Our extensive network of frequent flyer programmes gives our hotels a significant competitive edge and allows them to gain additional business from a highly attractive target group. With Worldhotels, properties have the opportunity to award miles to their customers, which is a service that independent hotels cannot usually offer.”
