Pulling out the stops for Ashford property buyers

Taylor Wimpey goes the extra mile for customers purchasing its brand new homes in Ashford, Kent.
Jo and Kevin Garrett have nothing but praise for the service they received at the Repton Park development, when they moved into their new Taylor Wimpey home in Ashford, Kent.
It was the first day of the heavy snow in November 2010 – and because the site manager wasn’t able to be there due to the weather, dedicated Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive Frances battled through the blizzards on her day off to bring the couple the keys to their new Kent property.
Jo explained: “The weather was horrendous. It was the first day of the heavy snow and I think we were lucky to get in when we did before it got any worse.
“It was going to be the site manager handing us the keys to our new Ashford property, but the terrible weather meant he had to leave because he lives some distance away – so Frances walked in to give us the keys instead, despite the fact that she wasn’t even supposed to be working that day!
“It must have been quite a walk for her, probably a couple of miles, in the snow. It was brilliant customer service.”
With the drama of their snowy move now behind them and summer well on the way, Jo, Kevin and their four children are enjoying settling into a comfortable new lifestyle in their spacious four-bedroom ‘Hampstead’ townhouse in Ashford.
Jo explains: “The children are all at stages where they want their own space. With two floors of bedrooms, our new Kent house has more bedroom accommodation than downstairs space so they can go off to their rooms when they want.
“And we now have two en-suites and a bathroom, which is lovely because I can shower in peace without anyone storming in!”
Having left behind an older property in Paddock Wood – a home which Jo describes as a ‘money pit’ thanks to its unfortunate habit of swallowing up their hard-earned cash for costly repairs – the couple are enjoying the peace of mind of owning one of the maintenance-free brand new Taylor Wimpey homes for sale in Kent.
What’s more, the convenient location of the Repton Park development is another bonus for the family, with the excellent nearby rail links a key factor in their decision to move there.
Kevin works in a bathroom warehouse in Marden, while son Corey (14) is at school in Tonbridge, so both are able take the train each day. The couple’s three daughters Laura (17), Madison (9) and Keira (7), meanwhile, have a short trip into Ashford each morning.
Thanks to popular demand from buyers like the Garrett family, all of the Ashford homes in the third phase of Repton Park have now been sold. Fortunately for would-be purchasers, Taylor Wimpey has now released a brand new collection of beautiful two, three and four-bedroom homes at this sought-after Kent newbuild development.
Ideal for those looking for a rural lifestyle, while still retaining excellent transport links, Repton Park offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. Situated upon the North Downs, this new community of new homes for sale in Ashford is surrounded by Kent’s stunning countryside of woods and fields.
Good public transport is a vital part of the overall plan for Repton Park, which provides a great alternative for those who may have been looking at new properties for sale in Folkesworth or new homes for sale in Maistone.
A new bus service will link the community with Ashford town centre and the International railway station, where trains run to central London, Maidstone, Folkestone and continental Europe. The high speed rail link takes passengers to London St Pancras in under 40 minutes.
The bustling town of Ashford, on the crossroads of Canterbury to Hastings and London to Dover, boasts beautiful historic buildings and tree-lined walkways and Repton Park is conveniently located within easy reach of the town’s large range of high street shops, traditional boutiques and bakers. A choice of primary and secondary schools is close by.
For leisure activities, there are parks, a bowling alley and a cinema in Ashford, while a day out at the seaside, at the long sandy beach of St Mary’s Bay, is just 13 miles from the new homes.
The Repton Park Sales and Marketing Suite, located in Sir Henry Brackenbury Road, off Templar Way, Ashford, and is open seven days a week from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
