Discover Redrow's new homes in Maidstone

21st April 2011 Print

Maidstone homebuyers can now picture themselves living in one of Redrow’s luxury new homes from the comfort of their armchair.

The housebuilder has produced a special film that is available to watch on its very own award-winning broadband television channel, Redrow.TV; giving viewers a sneak preview of its New Heritage Collection homes at The Grange, on Sutton Road.

This short video clip gives buyers a taste of the style and specification on offer, taking the viewer on a tour around the beautiful ‘Oxford’ show home to showcase the modern interiors behind the traditional exteriors.

Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern), said: “In our experience the internet is now the first port of call for many people searching for a new home. By giving them more to see of their chosen developments, we hope it will further tempt them to come and visit us on site.

“The film clip is just a small taster of what we have on offer at The Grange. Viewers are taken inside the Oxford show home, which includes a convivial kitchen and dining room with patio doors opening out onto the rear garden, contemporary floor to ceiling units and top name appliances, a separate lounge with a large bay window, and four generous bedrooms, including the master with en-suite and a bay window.

“The video also serves as an informative guide to the stand out elements of our New Heritage Collection homes, with exterior character features inspired by the ’Arts and Crafts’ era.

“The next step for potential purchasers will then be to visit the development so they can see everything it has to offer first hand.”

Just as the Arts & Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries grew from the desire to bring back the skill and creativity of the individual craftsman and revive the simplicity and honesty in the way buildings and furnishings were made, Redrow has deliberately set out to reintroduce a high degree of individuality to the way its homes look and feel.

One of the most popular and enduring of domestic architectural styles, the Arts and Crafts’ influence can be seen in many so-called ‘character’ homes from later periods, especially the 1920s and 1930s. External features which typify the era include dropped eaves, bay windows and timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows.

Alongside the Oxford, visitors to The Grange can also look around the professionally decorated and fully furnished ‘Cambridge’ show home, another four-bedroom family home.

The Grange will feature 93 homes in total and will incorporate some stunning mature trees and areas of open space, while being just a short walk from the picturesque Mote Park and conveniently close to Maidstone town centre.

As Kent’s county town, Maidstone has a wide variety of shops, schools, sports and leisure centres, bars and restaurants, while Maidstone East station offers journey times to London Victoria or Charing Cross of around an hour so the development is perfect for commuters.

Prices for the New Heritage Collection at The Grange, in Maidstone, are from £249,950 for a three-bedroom home and from £286,950 for a four-bedroom design.
